Looking up the road, he saw a car approaching. Neither vehicle was moving rapidly. Visibility was perfect. Suddenly John panicked. He flung his hands as if he had been galvanized. The white Maxi hurtled off the road and slammed into a ditch. They all were thrown forward violently, striking their heads against the dashboard, the windshield, of the side walls of the car.
When the Lennons were discharged from the hospital, they were flown home in a helicopter. Yoko staggered out of the plane and took to her bed. A few days later the wrecked Maxi was hauled onto the property. When John looked inside, he was fascinated by the blood all over the seats, particularly in the back seat. "Oh, grrreat!" he enthused. "Don't touch it!" he commanded the astonished Les Anthony. "Leave it just as it is!" Eventually Yoko got the idea of putting the car atop a concrete pedestal in front of the living-room windows so that when the family looked out on the lawn, they would feel grateful for their survival.

The fight was gonna be my crownin' glory.
My crownin' glories. They were divided up into 3 afternoons after school.
Bill on Tuesday, Mark on Wednesday, and Kenneth on Thursday.
I don't want to get into what the fight was about, but the important thing it was about protectin' my cover and I was five minutes past the point of no return for over four years now and it was time to write a new chapter despite my fears.
I knew that it was gonna be glory or gore and nothin' in between.

They were quiet. Soon the breeze became a strong wind, coming from the direction of the distant mountains; but it too was hot, like the breath of a great animal. The lamp flickered, threatened to go out. Lucha got up and turned it down.
As Chalia moved her head to watch her, her attention was caught by something else, and she quickly shifted her gaze to the wall. Something enormous, black and swift had been there an instant ago; now there was nothing. She watched the spot intently. The wall was faced with small stones which had been plastered over and whitewashed indifferently, so that the surface was very rough and full of large holes.
She rose suddenly and approaching the wall, peered at it closely. All the holes, large and small, were lined with whitish funnels. She could see the long, agile legs of the spiders that lived inside, sticking out beyond some of the funnels.
"Lucha, this wall is full of monsters!" she cried.

"Time To Pretend"
I'm Feelin rough I'm feelin raw I'm in the prime of my life.
Let's make some music make some money find some models for wives.
I'll move to Paris, shoot some heroin and fuck with the stars.
You man the island and the cocaine and the elegant cars.
This is our decision to live fast and die young.
We've got the vision, now let's have some fun.
Yeah it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
Forget about our mothers and our friends.
We were fated to pretend.
I'll miss the playgrounds and the animals and digging up worms.
I'll miss the comfort of my mother and the weight of the world.
I'll miss my sister, miss my father, miss my dog and my home.
Yeah I'll miss the boredom and the freedom and the time spent alone.
But there is really nothing, nothing we can do.
Love must be forgotten. Life can always start up anew.
The models will have children, we'll get a divorce,
we'll find some more models, Everything must run its course.
We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end.
We were fated to pretend.
yeah yeah yeah

Plans are one thing and fate another. When they coincide, success results.
You do not permit your being to turn stinking inside a shell, but what you do is swirl yourself in the toughness of dreams.
There have been cans of dog food more splendiferous than South Richmond and mines more tender.
