Crooked Markets

1.) Always buy companies you don't mind holding for a while.

2.) When markets plunge, you buy, just a little at a time.

3.) When markets soar, you sell, just a little at a time.

4.) Never sell for a loss, be patient, that's the reason for rule #1.

5.) Don't obsess over daily returns, leave that to the day traders that will be giving you their money.

6.) If you make a nice profit in 1 day, great, take your profit, but do not try to be a day trader.

7.) Don't worry about the market making sense, it doesn't make sense because it is manipulated. Be patient until it's manipulated in you favor.

Openings

He did not believe in long hair and mini shirts.

His behaviour was as precarious as a hitchhiking hooker making up trouble.

But . . . he had theories about laws that prohibited hitchhiking and the realities of stars.

Perhaps they are not stars, rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pour through and shine down upon us to let us know they are happy.

The Fringes Of

He took himself extremely seriously and was never troubled by a sense of either humor or objectivity - particularly about himself.

Growing up on the fringes of Society, he was, like so many arbiters, fascinated by it.

The Outside

And now for the inside.

"Madam X", starring Lana Turner, was filmed here in 1966.

The exteriors of the Anderson estate were filmed at 10236 Charing Cross Road, Los Angeles, California. Six years later this mansion would become famous as The Playboy Mansion, though at that time it was owned by an engineer named Louis Statham.

Klaatu Speaks

AVATAR...chaps, spurs and space ships. Technically stunning, but the plot is straight, "How the West Was Won." Not a Hollywood Western plot is overlooked. Government agents trample Indian rights; Little Big Horn; the Trail of Tears, sure, throw in some romance...White hero falls for Indian Princess and angers Indian buck who had set his sights on her; wild bronco busting too. Instead of White man vs. Red man, it's White man vs. Blue Man moved from Monument Valley to Pandora in Outer Space.

The lack of story originality is a titanic disappointment.

The Turning Point

'Well, Philadelphia itself was the turning point. Seeing a lot of different things. The morgue was kind of a clinical thing. It was very powerful, but it wasn't a twisted thing to me.

It was more like seeing my neighbor's dog. That was another image I'll never forget. Their dog, they fed so much, it looked literally like a water balloon with little legs. The legs kind of stuck out. Almost couldn't walk, this dog. Had a little bitty head. It was like a Mexican Chichuahua with a watermelon in the middle.

And there were lots of little bowls of candies in the room, and these things stuck with me a lot."
