I suspect, Ed Ruscha presents foxed and time-stained volumes of blank pages to suggest the erasure of modern media amnesia. Www makes its advertising money from a newly narrowed present, and everything else is oh-so-five-minutes-ago. As a long-time collector of old books, this is how it feels to me. I like his work.
